Toto pivo je typickým predstaviteľom pivného štýlu nazývaného American IPA. Pôvodom sa jedná o anglický Ale, ktorý vznikol v koloniálnej ére, ako pivo, ktoré vďaka svojej sile a horkosti vydržalo dlhú cestu v extrémnych podmienkach až do anglických kolónií, hlavne do Indie. Koncom 20. storočia si tento takmer zabudnutý štýl obľúbili craft pivovary v USA, kde sa veľmi rýchlo rozšíril v najrôznejších variáciach, najmä vďaka novým, v Amerike vyšľachteným chmeľom. Tentokrát sme pre Vás pripravili americkú IPA s chmeľom Sterling. Tento chmeľ bol vyšľachtený v USA z odrôd, ktoré sú v Európe dobre známe. Jedná sa o českú odrodu Žatecký poloranný červenák, označovaný tiež ako Saaz a nemecký Halentarer, ktorý sa používa hlavne na chmelenie nemeckých pšeničných pív. Obe tieto odrody zkrížili s americkým chmeľom Cascade a okrem toho, že dosiahli dobrú odolnosť novej rastliny proti škodcom a plesniam, vznikla nová kombinácia aróm s náznakom citróna a limetky a prevládajúcou vôňou ananásu. This beer is a typical representative of a beer style called American IPA. English by origin, this beer style was born in the colonial era as a beer which, thanks to its strength and bitterness, sustained the demanding journey to English colonies, most importantly to India. In the end of the twentieth century, this nearly forgotten beer style has been joyfully adopted by craft brewers in the USA, where it has swiftly spread in its numerous variations, mostly thanks to novel American-bred hop varieties. This time we prepared an American IPA with Sterling hops. These hops were bred in the USA from varieties well known in Europe. It was the famous Czech variety Saaz and German Halentauer, used specifically in German wheat beers. Both of these varieties have been bred with the American Cascade hops not only obtaining great resistance of the new plant against the vermin and molds, but also giving birth to a new mixture of aromas with hints of lemon and lime dominated by pineapple flavor.
